A Model Community ( response to Jack's challenge)

I would like to thank each and every one of you for welcoming me into AD. When I first started posting my work here I was petrified, but thanks to the wonderful and unselfish writer's here I am growing and learning so much. The confidence that you have all given me by reviewing, commenting and correcting my work is priceless. I wish each and every one of you the best that life has to offer.

for many years I'd write down my thoughts
they'd swim and slam my cranial ports
notebooks filled with my life's angst and pain
occasionally joy would brighten my days

now I'm middle-aged and finding some strength
guided by a fellow poet , I joined the den
a haven for writers where your creativity was safe
regardless of your mood you were accepted anyway

from every corner of the world we come to this spot
to speak our minds by using poetry, art or whatnot
kindred spirits converge baring their precious souls
wisdom, compassion, humor and so much more

AD is a model community, a family of poets
writing and helping the world to be
a better place for all to reside
by uniting their souls
into a positive force
shining eternally
for all to see...
