My Safe Place

In these days of turmoil and confusion, I'd like to share one of my safe places...

Under sassafras trees my vision takes shape.
I envision  a place, filled with all that is great.
Oleander, intoxicates my vivid dreams
as time reverses unpleasant history.
Love takes human shape, brightening
every dark dreary space.  Hawk's float
through the sky, a graceful sight for all eyes.
Nature dances with grace, a smile tickles
her beautiful face. Mankind sings with united
voice, harmony is on the right course.
Ocean's sparkle with glee, marine life
swims happy and free.  Orca's bid you
a good day, Dolphins always at play.
Fresh air wafts through my lungs,
repairing  harm that was done.  A wolf
howls his approving sound, as I leave
this sacred ground.  Time to return to my
land, with wisdom and truth I must stand.
Come and visit with me, under sassafras
trees.  Let's commune in this place, make
our world a healthier space...
