Different Philosophies

When tortured footsteps weigh heavily

upon withered winter's horizon

taking slow careful gaits

to avoid pits of quicksand

patiently awaiting sustenance

mysteriously misty fingers appear

beckoning confused conscience

moments draped softly over eons of time

philosophies instilled in youthful minds

form abstract visions where barren limbs

stretch towards heavenly memories

migrating over wind chilled skies

winged mammals navigate towards

sun kissed domains bought with

blood of ancestors long departed

a moment in time that drenches

unknown realms of ancient wonder

lullabies playfully entice monotone

stanzas repetitively amplified

throughout generations

reinventing different philosophies...

Interesting. Profound. You push the envelope with this one. You combine several aspects to create a wide range of feelings and images. Also reflects a variety of styles. Very literary piece.

They say life reinvents itself every day. But never through the same pair of eyes, or the same soul, or the same mind. Good work, Lady!

I've missed you! I wonder many things with my background and heritage. I know that my gramps in Norwegian...there are so many hush hushes with the other side ... I'm just a mutt and I like what I like ;) I like the way you make me wonder too :)
