There are moments I feel deeply disillusioned with 'my' existence

Ticking away as we speak

Invisible, profound, and irreversible

Time’s secret opaque taste

Permeates everything

Rushing through one’s life

I squeeze the good old tooth-paste-tube

Until milky blue jelly emerges on the brush

To taste & smell cool mint once more

Old photos, new places, and new love

Expanding & shrinking experience spheres

Perhaps it leads to wisdom as they say

Or we just get older as days go by

With a clock’s silent click

Transient time is measured with relentless precision

But no time is left to feel wide lonely moments

How else could it be when time is money

Illusion, impermanence, and fleeting pictures

A toddler asks: “Mom, what are the little clouds good for?”

The charming sound of sweet kids talk, never to return

A lighthouse beams from Death’ rugged shore

On the handloom of existence

An endless carpet is woven new

Fresh colored cotton strings are added

Brittle, faded threads are brushed-off on the other side

May true freedom embrace every soul

As our bodies turn to dust

Well, that's the way life is.
Made of dust, back to dust. What comes inbetween - it's up to us what we make out of it.

If we don't make our experience count, then we're just getting older. I like your last two lines. Thanks for sharing this with us, and thanks for comments.

Franz,
A little solemn, but very beautiful. You got your feelings through with this one.
Remember the butterflies and new beginnings, AND though our bodies are aging, our hearts are always young on the other side. Enjoy life to the fullest until that time comes.
Happy Spring.
Blessings,
Judith

Good introspective write, well you've definately got wisdom. The price for intelligence some people have, are thoughts like this, and you said it in a powerful way..Others go into denial..

An introspective sensitve beauty of a write Franz!
How well you describe the inner emotions we go
through. At times we all feel this way, this world
today, takes a lot of hard work to live in it!

This is so powerful and so stunning Franz...
Sometimes it does appear to me that freedom will
not be realized until we are indeed dead....
Great writing....floria
