Like opulent breasts, pregnant clouds loom Under a dense, gloomy sky that plays dusk at noon Wild thunder resounding from olive mountains afar Shaking the earth, a shiver runs through my old car Wind gusts swirl leaves and salty sea spray to me A gray angry ocean roars beyond a line of trees The cloud has burst- torrential curtain rains fall Airwaves from ahead blowing fresh as they roll Swallows high up challenge the storm and pass Monsoon has arrived on my jungle isle, at last �2004 by Franz L. Kessler

This poem made me re-live my fear of the elements -- rain and wind storms scare the life out of me. Your use of active words made this poem as powerful as the storm. I could feel the urgency in it. Thank you for sharing this. Good work!
