Verbally knocked down, rejected Verbally slapped, rejected No response, rejected No invitations, rejected No calls, rejected Ignored, rejected Invisible rejected. As these events increased in number, the hurts became too much to bear. I promised I would no longer cry over these hurts. Bits of my heart began to disappear. The heart is empty now� Except for a tiny corner only for my companion, my puppy. I no longer feel for anything or anyone� except for my puppy. No more emotions. The heart is empty of all, but a tiny corner still breaths. � October 21, 2001

I SEE THAT THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN QUITE A FEW YEARS AGO...IT IS SO EXHILERATING WHEN I CAN TELL FROM A POET'S WORK JUST HOW MUCH THEY HAVE GROWN! I 'KNOW' THIS IS NOT THE CASE NOW...I CAN TELL FROM YOUR WONDERFUL INSPIRATIONAL WORKS, WHICH ARE MORE RECENT, THAT 'HE' HAS FILLED THAT 'EMPTY HEART' BEAUTIFULLY. I can relate, Ann! Well written, though sad to know so many have to hurt. But, if it makes us wiser and gives us the ablity to write as you do, than this too is a blessing!

Ann what a beautiful poem. You made me cry and I feel the loneliness too. Strange how life makes some of us bed fellows.
Hugs and whoever has these tears inside ... tell them I believe it does not have to be this way. Bill
