Mopped up

Pencils broken all around
Splintered, piled
On the floor
Words unadulterated
Frowned upon
What is written
Can't return
Pencil and paper
Come together
One thought emerges
My muse is me
And what surrounds
The earth in decay
The tortured souls
Love and happiness
Guilt and shame
Lost and found
Life goes on
