multiple paths,

variations,

both cry and laugh.

Gathering words

for books not done.

Creating scenes

from dark to sun.

Spinning complex

plots in my mind.

Trying to sleep

while dreams unwind.

Always changing

what I have wrote.

Ignoring grammar

to sugar coat.

Mind is buzzing,

ideas pour out.

Sometimes perfect

I want to shout.

Ignore the critics

and what they think.

Nail down all thoughts,

from good to stink.

Blend the ideas,

mix and match.

Allow the plot to

begin to hatch.

Follow the writing,

let it flow.

Pull in your past,

it’s what you know.

Get it all down,

take a re-look

Don’t give up,

‘til it's in your book.
