Beware of beliefs that come with a price.
Pushing agendas on people who fight.
A yin-yang look at both sides now,
wondering why, then wondering how.
Good and bad, with right and wrong
can lead to notes of a different song.
Both sides of the mirror reflect a truth,
while one is good spirited, the other uncouth.
The balance of life; the light and the dark
can lead to shadows or sustain a faint spark.
Opposing opinions, your ideals etched in stone.
If you’ve been brainwashed, you’re not alone.
What you have learned, may not be so good
if others debate you on all that they could.
Changing their principles is a fight never ending.
Generational upbringing has soured the mending.
It’s complicated to change the person you are.
You have been molded, and influenced far
beyond what is required, to live a full life
but national agreement will never see light.

I was asked why we would reject a woman and child coming across the border who said she was running away from a murderer.
All I could think of was a boat that normally holds 100 people. All the folks paid for the journey. Some saved for many moons and for others it was pocket change.
So one woman and child asked to go along. They had no money but they needed to be gone. So a kind sir paid their way. Others watch on and they jumped in the fray. Soon the boat was overfull and began to sink.
So will our country. Just stop and think!

All evidence shows that the world is becoming kinder and gentler with each passing year. All of the death and destruction going back millennia have had an effect on how we look at life. The 21st century can be a great awakening where horrific things like war will no longer exist.
