I am an old writer, but new to the craft
I always took serious and blended in laugh
I write for enjoyment and creating the words
I write on the weekends not Monday thru Thurs

I gather my thoughts then twist them around
I write them and say them and see how they sound
I edit and change them and picture the reader
I ponder their thoughts on the satisfied meter

The hard part sometimes is the title or headline
and to capture the readers click on my byline
I want them to read a lot more of my writing
and hope their response is praise and not biting

The reviews are my views to the road I am on
I continue to write and sing a new song
I believe in my postings both good and some great
I wonder if readers have time on their plate

With so much to read and much more arriving
how can I insure my instinct surviving
to write what I feel and more from my heart
at this wonderful place where beginners can start

The people who write me have so much to offer
especially their works from hardness to softer
I read their tomes and feel their emotions
and wonder their future and posting devotions

I made connections that lightened my heart
I read their minds work and knew I could start
to write more creations that came to my mind
I hope they all realize this connection in time.
