Dreaming Of Next Time

by Michael Charles Messineo — Read all 96 poems by Michael Charles Messineo

The process of love is a wonderful thing.

Sunday, February 1, 2004

saying the words
slowly
repeatedly

remembering the heightened senses
joyfully
ecstatically

hearing your voice
quietly
excitedly

feeling your touch
unhurriedly
imploringly

sensing the trust
implicitly
unquestionably

letting go completely
sensually
spiritually

observing the results
happily
contentedly

saying good bye till next time
sadly
forlornly

dreaming of the next time
absolutely
assuredly
dreaming of the next time.

Michael, I agree with every line, till that fateful day you lose that who you loved so dear...then love is not what its cracked up to be...but this is the way it is as long as love lasts...which should be forever...(lost wife in NYC on 911) no pity asked for, just for point of information...Ed & Rufuz
