My world holds much more wonder now, it seems,
Then days in which I squandered all my youth.
The world has changed beyond my childhood dreams,
Filled with technologies that seem uncouth
No plane could fly beyond the speed of sound.
Cell phones and computers you could not get.
Tiny silicon chips had not been found.
But now, each day, they make them smaller yet.
My world is filled with wonderment and dreams.
It grows more complex every day it seems.
I need each day to change my point of view.
My wonderland is far more than it seems
For great are all these wonders and these dreams
But greater far is time I spend with you

Of 'like minds', Lonny, that's where I went here. So subtle are the ways that technology has changed our 'dreams'.. We rail against it (to a friend via the cell phone), vow always to keep it at a distance (via email).. BUT.. of course its that last line that saves us.. with that, we truly do retain what matters. Well said... worthy of the ever-present "man vs machine" dilemma. katy xox.
