What do you think
when you think of me?
Do you think of two children
laughing in clover
tumbling about, rolling over and over?
Do you think of two loves
holding hands by the sea,
one of them you and the other one me?
Do you think of a couple
lost in embrace
unaware of a comet that’s falling through space?
Do you think of a pair
all alone by the fire
each of them sensing the other’s desire?
What do I think
when I think of you?
I think of your eyes, how they glisten so green,
I ponder their shade, knowing not what they mean.
I think of your body pressed so close to mine,
and how when I’m with you I lose sense of time.
I think of your voice—how it whispers so sweet,
I think of your hands, of your face, of your feet.
I think of the first time we ever did meet...
So, what’s going on behind my eyes of blue?
Only thoughts of you, thoughts only of you.
