the beauty of recycled perspectives
eye of the beholder, poetry or garbage just a heap of rubbish that even dogs would rightfully pee on and cats would never bother to bring in, reality? eye of the beholder, art or wretchedness in a pile for all to witness, nausea or possible and awesome other side of truth? eye of the beholder, behold beyond the eye – recycle your perspective be broadminded, dare: look at the shadow projected by the wasteland of waste and hasty first impressions on the wall; behold the magical fecundity of recycled debris and find yourself eye to real eye with creation of hope. beyond the obvious so often ugly, the subtle beauty of what from a light-flooded angle can amazingly be perceived – if only the beholder should care not to look merely through other eyes that swear upon the fact that garbage is all there is to see.
It is only upon the wings of a true desire for understanding that we can sense the pure beauty of those things beyond the visible, which are all around us in every single moment.
What if humankind were to recycle perspectives in such a way that it shines a light, enabling us to look beyond one another's "garbage" ... would we not perceive other hearts and souls
as a glorious garden?
What a joy it is to stroll along such a path of light and love with you!
Now this is poetry to get ones teeth into!;-) I agree Alexandra, that we who have developed the wisdom of our all encompassing sight, can see so much more than those who only look with their eyesight.
Yes somtimes as your poem suggests it is hard to tell one side of the coin from the other or the half full/half empty syndrome. No two people will have the same perspective, similar maybe but never the same. All we can really do is avocate tolerence and education to all.

It is truly amazing what imagery that others once perceived as useless and wasted can provoke. This one is of great example.
When we were kids we always went to the beach every weekend and we always picked up stones and garbages that people didn't need, and we thought they were treasures.
My sister has never got out of this habits. Whenever she comes to Canada now, we always gone to the beach with her, or to a park that has a stream so we could continue to pick up stones. Only now, we pick larger pieces that look like something. When we get home we washed it down and then put it on a wooden stand (or make a wooden stand for it, and display the piece. Believe it or not, the piece of stone that we have picked up looked so artistic all of a sudden when displayed on the wooden stand.
The beauty in a piece of art is in the eyes of the beholder.
