we all have the option of making personal choices and decisions in life.
Survivors of Life…
We come from seeds, both flowers and me…
But there is a difference between us you see…
As a flower has needs and special care…
Such as good rich soil, sun, water and air…
When weather turns bad and gets very cold…
The flower will wilt and start to look old…
I on the other hand suffer from much greater deeds…
Like poison, salt and herbicides.... .let’s kill the weeds !
But unlike the flowers, which may not return…
I the weed will stand tall and firm..
I may not re-appear in the garden you see…
Cause unlike the flower, I can choose to be..
Growing in sunlight or shade under a tree..
In the crack of a sidewalk , or even a wall...
It makes no difference to me at all...
We both help mankind in various ways..
As many are using all natural these days
So the next time you walk in the “garden of life”..
Take note of the “weeds” who are the Survivors of life…..
I agree with Jerry, and I would also add, those lowly weeds have the most beautiful blooms. I do not treat our yard, and as a result there are many dandelions and wild violets growing. In the middle of summer when other yard are brown, mine is still lush and green. Long live the weeds.
You betcha, the weed can be compared with the common person who has to live in substandard places, but eventually grows up and achieves in spite of his harsh surroundings. Very, very insightful.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
