Need be a WEED....

Inspiration comes in many forms...sometimes it can be HUMOR...
A weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, "a plant in the wrong place".
Commonly plants unwanted in human-controlled settings ...

Poem Artwork

Outside the box, I always thought…
Always questioned the answers I was taught…

Teachers pulled straws, upon seeing my name…
They didn’t relish playing my game…

Who wants that stress in their life…
And all that anguish and forget the strife…

As I moved along through my years…
Relinquishing all my doubts and fears..
I came to realize as I grew…
There was a difference between me and you…

When the weather got cold…and the Sun didn’t shine…
The rain ceased to be…and I was just fine…
But your leaves and flowers shriveled …
You became a dried stalk….

I on the other hand, found myself a new home…
As I put down roots in the crack of a sidewalk…

So the moral of my story is this…
If you only have but one wish…
Don’t live your life ,..fulfilling everyone else’s needs…
Remember that you too can choose to live as a “WEED “…

It's the weeds of this world that give it its spice, it's vitality. I shudder to think if Hitler had got his way and killed everyone of the weeds to create his perfect Aryan, whatever. What a bland, blonde world it would be.

And the funny thing is, Hitler would be the first to go because his hair and eyes weren't correct for his perfect vision.

You are a weed and I am a weed. Let's raise hell, and go to seed together.

Weeds are tough,
and know how to survive.
Their blooms are just as pretty,
And in the worst conditions, they thrive.
If imatation is the sincerest form of flattery,
Then to be a weed I'll strive.

Nice write, and I love the picture and caption as well.

Yeah, you're right, kj. Prima donnas in the flower world and in the human world, are too easily altered when change come to them, whereas the weed (tough kid from no-nonsense linage), can adept and survive . . .
