I awoke, stretched
thought time to move,
morning is passing
you lazy fool!

My eyes are blurry,
my mind fuzzy.......
Ain't know way
I'm in a hurry!

You stayed out to late
singing your songs,
you danced away
till close to dawn.
Head is pounding
someones got a gong!
Quite now if you please
let this horrible feeling ease.

Friends are joined,
a few Buds for me
Light now if you please!
Lots of smiles all around
slow dancing to a
country sound.

It was fun while it lasted
and I'll do it again,
paying the price
Drinking to many
quirvo's on ice.

The County Line
Just down the road,
Is where I was to be found.
Singing and sharing
another round,
with buddys and friends
from out of town.

Riding home
through "copsville" town,
praying not to hear
that sound.
So very ready to say
good night and
rest my tired ole toes.
Lay me down and pray to see
my baby laying next to me.

Now I sit here trying
to survive,
coffee cup in hand.
Wait!
Last night did I really
dance with that man?
Oh well, a dance was all
So nothing loss.
Except for the food
I almost tossed!

Another day to begin anew
Day one: No Buds for you....
