Did you want to go

or did you really want to stay?

Was it a just a foolish mistake

that took your life that day?

You was always someone,

 Oh so special

I thought you really knew,

The love and admiration

of those close, but few.

I knew all your secret's

even those you could not speak.

I know it was the Lords forgiveness

more so than mans,

that you sought.

If you would have reached out,

He would have held you in his loving hands.

You said that I was strong

and more than you deserved.

You knew that I loved you

even when I couldn't speak the words.

All the years of past hurt and shame

just got tangled up inside.

Is that the reason that you choose to die?

Did you think that to die

would set me free?

Well your memory still rest

 gently here with me.

You visit me in my dreams.

I still see your smile,

and even the way your walked

head held back

and purpose to your stride.

But I guess no one really saw

the tears you held inside.

You was always there for others

ready with an open hand.

I know you knew I loved you,

No matter what others have had to say.

It was my happiness that carried you away

on that fatefull day.

You know I would have saved you!

If only I could have that morning.

Your head tilted back,

I willed you back

with each breath I gave,

and prayed to God to let you stay

and not let you go away.

You had just had your hair cut,

put on your favorite shirt and jeans.

You were getting ready for a trip

or looking back now it seems.

I hope that you are happy now

and smiles grace your face.

You'll never really ever be gone.

You touched to many you see.

Your passing didn't go un-noticed!

Did you look down and see?

The stones been placed upon your grave

To mark where you lay.

But I know you'll be with me

watching out for me,

till my own dying days.

So rest in peace,

My dearest friend

untill we meet again.

On that day I'll race to you

I hope to see your grin.

Your never far from me,

You still visit me in my dreams!

I always ask how you've been.

You smile and say your waiting

and to be happy.

I know I'll see you again.

For now

I carry you in my heart.

I love you my very dearest best friend.
