Challenge: Morning walk, Dew, Stranger, meeting, laughter, smiles, romantic, park bench

(The above picture is a Thomas Kincade)

Poem Artwork

I took my usual morning walk today

and saw all the beauty along my way

The dew was still heavy upon the grass

The field of wheat

waving in the gentle breeze

As I walked along I stopped

to sit upon a park bench

Reflecting back

as to how my life was spent

It was a meeting of old

meeting the new me

Sometimes I wasn't so sure

 I liked what I saw

Sometimes I had to ask myself

if that stranger was really me

In my memory's

I saw me as a child

full of laughter

full of smiles

a book just starting to be wrote

Page's not yet filled

I looked through

 my mind's eye with wonder

how very far I had come

The love I gave to my friends

and family

so unlike those memory's

of my own childhood

I remembered past times

that were romantic

And time's of pain

Then I began to understand

life is always going to be full

of twist and turns

emotions that range

like endless space

as with in those pages

being filled

I remembered

I can do all things

and do them well

If I allow Jesus

to take my hand

For anyone to come to that revelation in life is truly blessed. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."

Very lovely morning ...
