Rising from the ashes of divorce, a new spark of hope bursts into flame. One man's feelings upon finding a new love and his future with her.

Our Time

This is a time of tenderness
Of touching and of caring
This is a time of gentleness
Of giving and of sharing

At last to find the kind of love
We always tried to give...
At last to find the kind of life
We always hoped to live

This is a time to live again
A time for becoming whole
The work of joy within our hearts
The healing of the soul

This is a time for the clouds to part
A time to see the sun
This time, you see, is our time
And it has just begun

To Joy from Ed

As sincere as a child's smile,
but with verve and candor,
laced with soft, but steely style
and interlaced with valor.
These verses set a regal tone
inhering two as one alone.

Thanks for sharing, Joy.

A precious jewel from the past, Joy. Thank you for alerting me about your latest submission. Isn't it wonderful to be able to dig back into our memorabilia and come up with these manifestations of new love with such a positive outlook for the future. The greatest thing about it is that Ed's predictions came true and you are still so in love after all these years.
May the wind always be at your backs. May the sun shine warm upon your faces!
Joy, I am considering what you told Marge on the phone about the new me. We will see!

Love to you both and Vaya Con Dios,
Just (reborn) Jim

Lovely poem, Joy. Sometimes it takes a separation, or, if it goes that far, a divorce for each to see what they may not have seen while together... The separation, or, if it goes that far, a divorce for each to see the compromises each may realize they have to make, and be willing to make to become whole again.
Your friend; Mark
