but where shall I begin?
thanks for all family
and thanks for all my friends
thanks should be given for arising each day
and for being able to see the children play

for the sound of loving words
and thanks for the sweet songs
of joy that are heard
much thanks is given for all our senses
and all our deep emotions, too
but most of all we give thanks for life itself
