I posted some of my work on another site once, and they removed it. Too graphic!!! So I protest!

Smooth and easy, sometimes sleazy
"politely, excitely, unitely, delightly"
filled with proverbial verse
sometimes we don't, but sometimes we curse
but on and on, it goes
just as the river, it flows

Not always filled with rhyme
but the point is always on time
"the journey of the blackman is stained with many tears"
"while I dream, don't wake me
while I weave, don't shake me
let our wings unfurl
as we bring new light, new colors
into the world"

You may quote us, but never provoke us!
you censor my work? you re-chain me!
you don't like what you see?
just let it be!
but on and on, we flow
don't hate because you don't know
sometimes there is a ripple
the waves crash against the shore
but on and on, we go
we flow, we flow the way we know

Stop! don't shut the door on our creativity
if we cannot be allowed to write
we cease to be, the artists that we be
so let us flow, sometimes fast,
sometimes slow
controversy is a part of the puzzle, too
where all words have a place
so let us flow
on an un-ending journey, we go

"so when I rise, don't touch me
please, let me be
for, if I am to fly
I must be free!"

On and on, we flow
just as the river goes
where it ends, who knows?
just let us flow.
