He can bring a smile to my face
with the stroke of his eloquent pen
he weaves a tale of sensuality like
no one else can
he is a mysterious, elegant man
He dreams in colors so vivid and real
and writes of slow caresses
I can almost feel
He can assess feelings from afar
and spin a cosmic fantasy
as if he's spent time on a star
But who, pray tell,
is this man of such mystery?
who leaves letters of passion
on my doorstep for me
who's voice I read on pages,
and who's love he sends in stages
I love the way he describes the
movement of my long black hair
he says it looks like a raven's wings
moving slowly in mid air
Teasing me, causing me to yearn,
day after eagerly awaited day
for my eyes to hungrily feast
on what next he has to say
A note with a tiny bell tied to it to say,
only my voice rivals it's music
now my dreams are filled with an image
of a sexy silhouette of a man I've never met
and yet, I shall never forget.

This is beautiful...I read it next because I really like Roberta's song, Killing Me Softly...and this poem's title was similar to the song's title, but I am glad even more so now.
