Above the celestial heavens

He looked at a world lost in sin,

sheep without a Shepherd, running scared,

full of everything but HIM

Frail creatures He knew we were

yet He longed for fellowship, Spirit to soul,

Love so amazing, so Divine,

He walked among us I know

Despised, rejected, mis-understood,

He left His Kingdom above,

came as a babe in a manger,

the God-man Jesus, Amazing Love

He came to His own, yet still rejected

a suffering Servant, they didn't see

Amazing Love showed the Father's heart,

took man's sin there on Calvary

O break my heart with the things

that break the Father above too,

let this amazing love shine forth

show only Him, not me and you

Amazing Love still speaks to me

from His word, day and night,
