All Summer Camps Are Haunted

......like Poetry sites, everyone comes with their own

baggage,

fears and stories.

just wanting to be told at night,

by a roaring Bonfire, as the owls hoot, a wolf yells  and a

cold

North wind whispers in the dark that You are not alone......

And for a little while we take the breeze for what it is---a

friend

to guide our thoughts, to let the quietness of our

surroundings slip into the hidden closets of our minds.....

those Monsters under our beds and like a summer camp

we  observe everything,

even the odd unexplainable noises,

people  who carved their names in old

doorways, and dreams of Past Lovers whose siren voices

we hear,

                         on moonlit nights..............................

I must be one of those creatures, because I feel very comfortable alone, in the dark, on a beautiful moonlit night.

But you'd better watch out of what's under that summer camp bunk––it might be me! ;-)

When I was a young girl I so loved all the stories...
We told many of them in the Girl Scouts :)
It was fun and fond memories...
Thank you for the reminders down memory lane...
