Pain what is it? an emotion, feeling, physical hurt, mental anguish . Like most things we know when we suffer pain, but it is difficult relegate pain to a definate feuld. Here I have noted a small offering about pain.

PAIN

Pain comes to all of us in many stages of life,
Pain can mean so many, things, happiness or strife,
The exquisite pain of a lovesick youth, it's pain to be endured,
To the nagging constant onslaught of disease that can't be cured,

You hear in chidish chatter, “Oh she's such a pain,”,
Look at them a little later they're together again,
In siblings minor squabbles over chores that must be done,
These tasks a such a pain to do, before the task is done,

The naggging pain of an infected tooth, requing an instant fix,
To the sweet soon forgotten pain,of childbirth, when the new born baby kicks,
The eroding constant pain and suffering of a cancer stricken man,
The pain of those around him, coping as best they can ,

Pain is no respecter of persons, it strikes both young and old,
Pain is always present, both with heat or bitter cold,
The pain of separation when loved ones are far away,
That awful pain of lonelyness, that fillls ones heart
each day,
We all know pain at some time, it;s a major part of life,
So many ways of hurting, brings trouble mixed with strife,

So let each of us consider how we deal with pain,
Do we suffer quietly, not wanting to complain,
To stick it out at all costs, is certainly one belief,
To quie tly share your thoughts with a true friend,
can give one some relief.

I think pain is the price we pay for being able to feel pleasure.

You write such truths here John. This is an excellent write on what we all experience in life...Pain. It is how we deal with it that makes us who we are.
