I wrote this for a friend of a friend who's brother never made it out of Vietnam and they have yet to find his remains---

A handful of dirt
is all that remains
of my body, my soul
and even my name.

A handful of dirt
will let you carry me home
and bring it all to rest
So no longer shall I roam.

A handful of dirt
Where I held my ground
shows all that I am
and that I've been found.

A handful of dirt
is all that's left of me
hold it close to your heart
for in it I shall always be.
