So here I am…
forced to go on without you
Your hand played
And how well it was played too
Rude and contemptible
The buck passed
You smelling like a rose
Me…the scapegoat
I know people change
But I never thought
that souls could…
Until now.
I should have known
Though I was warned
How you play with hearts
Yet never give yours away
I was fooled
Suckered in
My heart ruled
Well, never again.
You were good
I have to admit
I rarely am tricked
But loneliness and age
Blinded me
For I did not want
to leave this earth
Never knowing,
love again.
But it looks as if
That is how
It is to be…
So be it.

I wish I could "say" that I cannot relate but it seems to me that I am going through the same thing right now and I have no idea why even though she does her best to "explain." Makes no sense to me since she did ask me to love her and to "go on with the journey." I'm just sayin' I can relate, Fawn. Love and best wishes,
