There goes the church-bell's ring;
once again praise and thanksgiving will sing.
Don't ever say that's not for me;
just check it out, go and see.
Oh but the churches are full of hypocrites;
that's why they're there, called to the summit.
Even the scandals that surface everywhere;
here comes the devil, surely not to spare.
The faithful's anchor grips the solid ground;
spiritually focused, never earthbound.
There's the devil, sitting in the pews;
he's always there, not really new news.
No one is saved merely by their churchgoing;
not by their prostrations, it's what's underlying.
Yet those those who walk by faith, not sight;
they gather with other believers, fulfilled Israelites.
There goes the church-bell's ring;
a soothing invitation, what's your thing?
Impostors will come, impostors will go;
all of us will reap exactly what we sow.
