It was created for you and me;
life's rough surf, look at the sea.
It comes and goes, you know not when;
those trials like billows, how will you fend?
There is a way to still life's waves;
that little secret, it's how we behave.
Living in gratitude has its reward;
are you riding high on your surfboard?
On life's tempestuous sea, look for the lighthouse;
if we don't, we could wind up in the madhouse.
Some are freethinkers, think about that again;
there's only one way to float, amen and amen.
I've met many that were lost at sea;
sinking fast they were, far from carefree.
They didn't have the proper life preserver on;
soon they looked up, an ethereal eidolon.
It was created for you and me;
that spacious sea of life, a passkey.
If you ever start sinking as did Peter;
hold on to your faith, a firm supporter.
