Lyrics for a Love Ballad.

Poem Artwork

I heard your sweet voice as the songbird sang today;

out there on the deck my heart just took a holiday.

Ain't it somethin' how intimate love can be;

in that precious moment I was simply full of glee.

Chorus: You top them all, your name is Lois;

                your sweet love is extremely contagious.

Every breath I take you seem to occupy my heart;

just no way I can endure us ever being apart.

Every single time I remember your pretty, pretty face;

doesn't take me very long to realize I'm under grace.

I have these dreams and you're always in them;

seems to me you'll always be that beautiful gem.

Loyalty and trust, we lavish upon each other;

when one of us falls, steadfast love will bolster.

Butterflies in my heart, you make them stay;

each and every day just like a happy birthday.

It all began when I laid my eyes on you;

ya swept me off my feet, darling that's so true .

I heard your sweet voice as the songbird sang today;

out there on the deck my heart just took a holiday.

You remember the class reunion, your eyes smiled at mine;

now your name alone sends shivers down my spine.

There is a great deal of longings and sweet sentiments between the words. Great song!!!
