I received a very special gift one day when she was only 3.

Though the package is very tiny, she means the world to me.

Her eyes are the color of chestnuts; her hair a beautiful brunette.

No better gift could have been given; at least I haven’t seen one yet.

My gift is now 5 years old although I’ve had her for only 2.

She isn’t able to walk yet, but I know she’ll make it through.

She was born with Cerebral Palsy and many times I’ve asked God why?

I may never know the answer, but I know that she’ll get by.

So many people love her. Her courage is without fault.

I know the day will soon come when she’ll get up and walk.

Her legs are getting stronger each and every day.

And I hold the faith that someday she’ll be able to run and play.

She took 8 steps without her walker just the other day.

She was so proud and excited; and I continue to pray.

Thank you Lord for giving me this wonderful child to love.

She’s the best gift I’ve ever received…a gift from up above.
