Feeling stale (or creatively uninspired) is something that happens with me regularly. Especially with creative writing. I understand stale very well. Sometimes a plant has to be pruned back severely to prepare for new growth. I believe the same thing happens with writers. I constantly, and honestly, assess my creativity in the mirror. And though I write regularly, I don't share regularly. Matter of fact I probably delete 60-70% of it, share maybe 20%, and tuck away 10% for a rainy day. I understand the frustration, JPB. Stay the course. Perhaps 2019 will be your most original year. Peace and inspiration... r
You nailed it with this one. While we talk about "merry" and "happy" this time of the year, sometimes the closeness and expectations turn into hatred and fights that we don't like to face as honestly as you have in this little ditty. Thanks for showing us the way.
I don't think your poetry has become stale, but I certainly understand where you're coming from. Sometimes I just need to take a break and disappear for awhile. Merry Christmas Jerry.
Who are you kidding, Jerry? Your poetry will never go stale, this is just the humor you have deep inside & maybe its time to allow it to surface...-e- [Merry Christmas, young man]
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
This is my personal inspirational book of poetry. It contains many poems written for family, friends, and relevant life situations. Hopefully you will find some that will encourage and inpsire you in whatever arena you are found in your circle of l

PS: Stale? You must be kidding. Your bread has never been stale and never will be.
