she approached me a blazing hot summer day
late afternoon
I’d never seen her before
stood there waiting
my mouth dry as desert sand
because of her beauty
she kept walking toward me
showing a faint smile
finally a broad grin broke over my face
my feet began to move toward her
I was bringing my arms
up to shake hands
or embrace her
whatever she wanted from me
she walked past me
I was completely caught off guard
when I turned
and saw her hugging and kissing
the man who was walking behind me
Your words to describe so beautifully the magnetic pull that sometimes a mere glance can elicit from a stranger when all of the body cues seem to be just right.
