the taste of your kisses
have remained in my mouth
all these years
I see your smile each and every day
we were planning

during our long separation

let's not start counting
then you got sick
real sick
cancer of the brain sick
goddamn it
you lay and suffered
screaming for morphine
before you died
our brand new honeymoon
would never be
