Cast iron skillet black oils heated sizzling hot frying up Sunday chicken Cast iron cooking pot simmering that Jambalaya red bean and sausages Cast iron ladles stirring roux scrapping the bottom of frying pans making a silky fine gravy Cast iron corn shaped baking pans making the bread so crisp yet cake like on inside Cast iron love solid as mama passed on to daughters sizzling hot, simmering, silky, crisp

I LOOOOVE my cast iron skillet! Nothing is quite like them....those left over mashed pertaters! Making them into patties and sticking them in that lard....NOTHING is like it :)...You make me hungry. Loved it!

Oh this brought back such memories. I had one such pan passed on to me and it was lost in a move years ago, irreplacable! Wonderful poem, but the love lives on.
