I want to thank all for well wishs for my daughter..

staff of life, rod of discipline
bar and obstacles to over come
stumbling block, to get around
vicissitudes to make change of
must be in my mind accompanied by
mutability of not only the body but
the soul

The staff of life our daily bread
can only be gained by the rods of discipline
knowing the bars that arise must not
remain obstacles that we can't over come
they should be just stumbling blocks to get around
the vicissitudes are what we all should seek to change
and must be accompanied by mutability not only of
body but of the soul........
the sage said as the scholars sat at his feet

In the street sat the beggar recited his own homily
shaking his cup.. he spoke of things he knew from life
not things he heard or read in books

I need to each day to live, this I can only do if...
I come here and sit and beg for food, so I do
even when the police chase me or children taunt me
I must still beg to live, I will do this without fail..
no matter the cost of humiation to me
knowing if I live, there will come a day in my life that I
will have the power to change my fortune

to each there is a role in life to be played
for some it is to the few as a scholar might do
for others the many, as is the beggars chant might be heard
tell me who will reach the most, scholar or the beggar
who will touch the most hearts and in turn
cause the most change in others worlds
doing this one person at a time
as most changes in life are made ???

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
