There are some who pack up,
And leave easily,
Wandering around nomadically,
Looking for greener pastures,
Running away from poverty,
Freedom and what may be,
And some who refuse stubbornly,
To leave the land of their forefathers,
A heritage that has been passed,
Through a spiritual lineage,
Culturally imprinted on all,
Worth giving every drop of blood,
No matter how many bombs drop,
To scare away chickens,
Who die a death every day,
But only true ones,
Who die only once,
Returning the loaned body,
And greeting The Supreme,
Giving up life,
To the oppressors,
But NO LAND!

Esra;
A compelling personal statement about a universal human trait, patriotism; the love of one's homeland, culture and heritage.
But only true ones,
Who die only once,
Returning the loaned body
And greeting The Supreme...
Those four lines are art at its verbal best.
A question: Who are the oppressers after the land? I hope the implication is not that it is the U.S.

Can it be disputed? Probably not. Well written. Bill
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

There are those who stay and those who go, and each has a destiny to fulfill. Right in one soul's eyes can be read as 'dead wrong' in someone elses.
A fine work.
