Somewhere unforgotten,
Where the wallpaper faded,
And memories were remembered,
On the old couch of comfort,
Where I used to lay down,
In the living room,
As my siblings squabbled,
And mum prepared lunch,
I used to enjoy very much,
The great good old days,
Where we felt love and content,
Surrounded in the homely cocoon,
That ended much too soon,
In yearnful regret.

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
