I opened my eyes,
The chandelier swayed to and fro,
As I held my gaze and watched,
Above my head in bed,
Like a baby rocked,
To a sleep unending,
Wondering whether the swaying,
Would continue,
Or end all, Powerfully,
Then I would greet,
My eternal sleep,
I prayed for a quick,
Painless Journey,
Consisting all of my family,
Rather than wait amongst the rubble,
For an unexisting saviour.
The rocking stopped,
The chandelier slowed it's pace,
And I waited,
The movements stopped,
I closed my eyes,
Returning to sweet sleep,
Disturbed by the rocking.
