Watch as thunder arrives,
And you await, waiting,
Watch as the waves roll by,
And you await, waiting,
Watch as the clouds pass by,
And you await, waiting,
Watch as the pastures and meadows pass,
And you await, waiting,
Watch as you are drenched wet,
And you await, waiting,
Under the rain of glory,
And you await, waiting,
Soaked by droplets of mercy.
I agree with Peggy, this was a deep poem. I don't normally agree to repetitions in a poem, but in this one, the repetitions works to set a pace and the rhythm. Works out well overall.
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
Enjoyed this one.
