All my life,
I have travelled far and wide,
To the undiscovered corners,
Awaiting curious explorers.
I have inhaled the air,
Deeply into my soul.
Like oxygen,
Culture and diversity,
It is vital to thought provoked man.
A traveller we are always,
From Neo-Platonic pre-Existence,
To life and the Here-After,
Where we are placed,
Upon our doings,
In Heaven or Hell.
Eternal Existence Continues,
As we keep travelling,
From one dimension onto Another.
As I travelled far and wide,
I found that,
Everywhere that I went,
I felt suprisingly at home.
Nothing seemed anew,
As if everything was deja vu.
In Jeddah,I blended into a Saudi
Woman veiled in an abaya.
In Makkah,A mere muslim pilgrim,
In Cairo,An Egyptian bargaining
And hailing taxis,
In Rome,An observer at the Vatican,
In France,definitely Parisian,
Window-shopping,
Along the Champs Elysee.
In Pakistan,
I felt local in my shalwar kamees
And henna embroidery on my hands.
In Turkey,
I felt truly Turkish,
As I sailed along the Bosphorous
That Invoked passions,
Of great Ottoman history.
However,I cannot deny that,
New York, London and Dubai,
Are the greatest melting pots,
That I have witnessed.
Everyone from all around
The world, Comes together,
Blending into diverse colours,
As the world shrinks smaller,
"A Global Village" they say,
Shall emerge one day,
Country borders shall be abandoned,
The European Union shall transform,
Into "The World Union" some day.
Let No more evil,
But Allow Goodness,
To be sustained.
