Bomb! Explosion! Smoke!
The velocity reaches us,
Sending a trembling down our spine,
Mixed with the trembling of the earth,
Reminding us of the Earthquake,
Windows rattled from distances afar,
The fire brigade and ambulances,
Started with sirens,
Screaming outloud for humanity,
To stop the shameful evil,
The killing and destruction of man,
We sit numbed to watch imagery,
On tv of helpless wounded,
Bleeding in shock,
Yet still trying to save others,
Amid the debris,
Who have long gone,
Proving the word,
Terror knows no bounds,
And the world of horror,
Still hounds the unsusceptible,
As we all wait in line,
Innocent civilians to be next,
In a city once safe and secure,
Terrorism will never endure.
terrorism will never endure...i wish it were so and believe it so as well..but as long as there remains injustice and inequity in the world, so also will terrorism remain...laudable sentiments, expressed ably.
