Poem about memories of betrayal and love passing.
The turtledove’s coo reminded me of you Reminded me of the good times we shared Of the plans we’d made to always be true Do you remember back when you cared? Memories rushing back like a spring flood I was drowning in painful memories of you Back then I though I was your only beloved Before I knew that you would never be true So with sorrow I listen to the turtledove Memories of the betrayal that occurred Remembrances of you and of our Love The turtledove that is now a mockingbird
