Where Does Love Go When It Dies?(Collaboration)

Poem Artwork

Does it fade with your memories
And tarnish with time?
Is it locked in a secret place
In the back of your mind?
When love has gone and you don't know why
Or who's to blame, who didn't try
The question continues to burn your soul
The mystery remains untold
A quiet storm of tears rolls down your cheek
You have no answers, no words to speak
It haunts you in the midnight hour
The longing still holds the power
Where does love go when it dies?
Does it disappear or don a disguise?
~~
Where does love go when it dies?
One heart stops beating, and one cries
You live in pain and wonder why
Why did one heart have to die?
Two as one so beautiful and true
Without love what can one do?
Pain and sorrow left behind
Love is real and never blind,
One left happy and one remains sad
Love is glorious not to be bad
Where does love go when it dies?
Or does it live on in another's eyes?
Time so short we have not much
Love so gentle as a child's touch,
Maybe love never really dies
it continues on more than we know
Flowers die, and then they grow.

I don't feel that true
love ever dies...
There will always be that
one special place in your
heart, that belongs to the
one that you so treasured.
As we grow as humans, so
does the love in our hearts...
There is so many forms
of love...
But, true love never dies.
IMO...

Great write...

Trixie :)

Floreann, it goes into the heart of the beloved. When I pass Trixie will feel a surge of love pouring into her like a ray of light. Love is that powerful and strong. Don't worry about its loss. It is never lessened by anything man can do. It is eternal. Remember who God is. God is love.

For as long as one lives, there's always going to be love. I like how you ended the poem - with an uplifted note. Great job!

Oh I wish I had the answer to this one...all I know the one that holds his love within her/his heart...is the one with the most terrible pain left behind and have to deal you with!!

It kills you slowly from inside!!

And leave a mad person like me behind!!

Love Tinka

It would be so much easier if it would leave a body behind for burial. Unfortunately, it usually leaves quietly in the night, leaving nothing to cling to.
