"...because of my love for all things..." is the heart of the message, the inner truth Asa has discovered and once discovered never leaves.
This is fine work.
Parts of this make me think of Jesus and his sacrificing His life so that we may have eternal life. This is a profound piece that says so much more than any of us can begin to understand, I think.
To look beyond and see the inner person is sometimes hard to do. If a person can get past the outer being and look into the soul , they can learn much ! There is a lot to think about in this poem written with wisdom and compassion! ....M

When you find "my love for all things." you find internal peace.
In a post-coup America, an Illinois farm boy is drawn into the resistance by his brother's death. Captured, he is given a choice: betray his friends, or the girl he loves will be lobotomized.
Imogene, a country-bred girl, longs to make a life for herself in New York City. She joins forces with her former college roommate to start a movie production company in the big city.
