The horror of war......Nam

I was in love with someone Who was sent off to A place unknown to us That place was Nam He was a kind gentle guy Always there to lend A hand to anyone Who needed it He got wounded once Was sent to Hawaii To be mended Then Uncle Sam sent him Back to that jungle I went to his funeral Closed coffin They told me they found A few pieces of him And they were in there I was in love with someone Who was sent off to A place unknown to ous That place was HELL I love him still Jane Noponen Perinacci

That was tragic, I was married to a man
who came back from Viet Nam he didn't come
back in pieces, but his mind was affected
and then he died later of cancer...

all of us from that time lost someone or many there too many to death, more to lingering death and disfigurment of mind or body some just lost of themselves, i can mourn with you and the others left behind
