While Jerry probably let “the cat out of the bag,” I came up with a different conclusion from my reading.
The lemon tree would symbolize a bitter taste in your mouth from a bitter experience that has now grown into a sweet memory. The snowman would be some sociopath who preys on the innocent and unwary and “snows” them with his manipulation. You left his bullshit behind.
I certainly hope that I am closer than Jerry, but then, he is much more experienced in these things than I.
If not for Jerry's comment, I would not have understood this. Now that I do, I love the way worded it. Guess I've never understood why the "snowmen" are able to continue plying their trade for so long. They are, in my opinion, killers of families, lives, health, with very few survivors like yourself.
