The apparition came to me
While strolling on the shore
Walked up to me and kissed my hand
Which thrilled me to my core

We walked a while the sun smiled down
Sunlight was getting dim
The sunset oh so beautiful
I turned to look at him

He was not there I looked around
Wherever did he go
That night I pondered who he was
For he had touched me so

I went back to the beach day next
Specter to see again
He was not there I"ll ne'er forget
Started to leave but then

The breeze so softly moved my hair
The waves lapped at the shore
I felt a kiss upon my lips
Leaving me wanting more

On early nights before sunset
Return do I to find
This transient ghost who walked with me
Who still lives in my mind

You certainly were waxing poetic with this one… In spite of that mysterious apparition on the shore, I think a real solid hand gripping yours and a sunset kiss planted at just the right time, will chase all the ghosts away.

A super poetic sonnet! It reminds me of my youth at the beach. She was walking with me one minute or was it a mirage? many dreams back then became reality my friend.

Peace, love and blessings,

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
