Poem Artwork

Unblemished is the snow outside
The drifts are soft and high
Trees doned with white
Oh silent night
I gaze at these and sigh

Cannot resist outside I go
I lie down on the ground
Snow angels make
While a snow flake
Comes twirling twirling down

The brilliance of the snow doth blind
Once in the house I come
Covered in snow
From head to toe
A child again become

You bring back vivid memories of my childhood. I do miss that pure white fresh snow. Thank you for sharing the loveliness via your verses, Jane. Love and best wishes,

Covered in snow,
from head to toe.
you're a true angel,
and we love you so.

I love your inner child. What I like is getting out there and finding all those fresh tracks, little brown pellets, and yellow spots. Have made more yellow trails than snow angels, that I know. ;-)

~Jane~
A snow angel in my mind's eye when I was a little girl.
Oh, you've taken me back to those wonderful moments
of glistening snow in the sunlight. A moment to be an
angel on earth....

Snow has that magic. Wish we had some, it's been so cold. The snow makes everything brighter too, even on the greyest of days.

Amidst all the sparkle and magic never forget that old caution--
Never eat the yellow snow! :)

Pure joy is this one Jane. The wonderment of just fallen snow is a miracle-like feeling. Angels made, heart content, can there be anything better in this old world and all its problems? I think not.

This is wonderful Jane...I loved every word! What could be better than deep virginal snow and playing snow angels....a girl after my own heart...can I come and play?
Love, Diana....

PS for me there is nothing more enchanting than seeing the sun sparkling on snow...it literally THRILLS me...must be my Scandanavian background...:-)

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
